Between summer sightseeing and developing the
Wide Island View, I haven't had much time for blogging this month, so till I've got a chance to sit down and capture my muse, I thought I'd share this photo of a traditional Japanese umbrella, or
wagasa. These beautiful umbrellas are made of bamboo and
washi, Japanese paper, and I always admire them whenever I see them. I photographed this one outside the Yakushiji Temple in Nara.
